Lumbar ache. 20-09-082.

Housewife. Having a continual ache above the lumbar region of the back. Prior to Bowen found that if it does ease, then she awakens with it in the morning. She has to sleep with one hand under her hip.

Possible causes.

Postural, carrying children on one hip.

Bowen Treatments.

Body balancing moves at each session.

Knees. ankles, pelvic correction, hamstrings.

Other treatments; Reiki.

Response to treatment.

Some relief after one treatment, given Reiki seven months later, followed by a Bowen session a week after that.

Comments.

She wrote to me to say.. “That after a few uncomfortable days after the last treatment my back has improved considerably-thank you so much.”…………… “Thanks again Roy, will be in touch if things go pear shaped, (if you know what I mean).”

The problem recurred a few weeks ago, and was only given one Bowen treatment as she improved after it. She will contact me in due course if she feels the need.

This is a typical pattern, its as though the body and mind ‘learn’ how to effect a ‘cure’ for the condition.
